| The
Distributed Computing Lab |
The UTEP Distributed Computing Lab (DCL) project was initiated in the 2003-2004 academic year. The purpose of this work is to establish the lab which serves as a hub for educational, research and outreach activities. One important aspect of the DCL, in addition to enriching the curriculum and facilitating interdisciplinary research is the recruitment and support of underrepresented minorities, with the objective of creating a pipeline of students from high school through graduate school that are trained in the design, operation and applications of high-performance computers.
